 Hi, welcome to my website. I am Krish Sankaran. I grew up in Chennai, India. All my childhood I lived in a small township, about 100 km south of Chennai, on the coast of Bay of Bengal called Kalpakkam. After my bachelor studies in Chennai, I went to Germany to do my masters in Karlsruhe. Then I moved to Italy to work for the European Commission. After 2 years in Italy, I decided to work on doctoral research in ETH Zurich, Switzerland. During this period, I spent several months in France and the UK as a visiting research scholar. After graduating with a doctoral degree, I moved to Industries. I worked for companies like ABB, Alstom, and Swissmetal - in the Power Generation and Industrial Application business segments. I gained valuable experience working in India and China as a part of my business engagements. My professional interests are in managing business development activities with emphases on sustainable growth and cost excellence. Since 2004, I am living in Zurich, Switzerland. On the "non-professional" side, I love to play table tennis and do regular jogging. The game of cricket is always my passionate sport (well, no wonder because of my Indian roots).
